Are you stuck in a rut with your art, want to be a little more adventurous? Have you always wanted to paint but are not confident in your drawing skills?
This workshop will help you overcome the hurdles and fill you with ideas to incorporate colour, textures and ways of mixing different art materials without relying too heavily on your drawing.
Your experienced tutor Clare will guide you to create a number of artworks throughout the day. You will discover effects that can be created by combining different paints, mediums and collage pieces.
This is a day where you can truly let your hair down and get creative (and possibly a little messy too!)
A delicious lunch with your tutor and fellow students is also included at the Art-tea tea rooms. Refreshments are provided throughout the day to keep you going!
You will learn:
| Some of the possibilities of different media
| Developing an initial idea into a finished piece.
| Strategies to solve problems when working on your picture.
| How to have fun and explore new ideas!
You will need:
| Please wear old clothes as you may get messy; an apron is provided
| Materials necessary will be available on the day but you may like to bring any materials special to you e.g. papers or sequins or images you would like to try to incorporate in your work.
The course cost of £70 includes:
